Houston, TX – February 5, 2025 – The Dream Educational Foundation (DEF) is pleased to announce that since its founding in 2019, it has raised over $240,000 to support scholarships and grants for students and credit union professionals pursuing higher education in accounting, finance, and related fields. With continued support from FocusOne, and a strong network of sponsors, DEF remains dedicated to fostering educational opportunities for the next generation of leaders.
DEF has awarded $70,750 in scholarships since its inception, assisting students and credit union professionals in furthering their education. For 2025, the Foundation is set to award over $60,000 in scholarships to deserving individuals in its community, continuing to make higher education more accessible.

DEF is also gearing up for two major fundraising events this year. The Houston Chapter of Credit Unions Golf Classic will take place on April 29, 2025, and has raised $55,210 for DEF since its partnership began in 2021. The 2025 Cy-Hope Clay Shoot Tournament, scheduled for April 2, 2025, will bring together community members for a day of philanthropy. Proceeds from both events will directly support DEF’s scholarship and grant programs.
